Karl Lagerfeld Like You've Never Seen Him Before!

Thanks to an amazing spread in French Elle, (which hit newsstands today), We now know whats it like to be Chanel's creative director Karl Lagerfeld in a slew of unlikely situations! The theme is to reveal Lagerfeld’s real day-to-day life and apparently that involves Karl-clad models following him everywhere he goes–from reading a sports newspaper at a café, grocery shopping at le supermarché, to chopping vegetables in a mostly black kitchen and surfing the internet.

"It's the first time I've stepped into a supermarket. It's crazy - fascinating what one can buy. There's enough here to easily gain 20 kilos,"- Karl Lagerfeld

Talk about a cultural shock!

Dolce&Gabbana's Italian Family

Last month Dolce&Gabbana announced the drop-dead-Gorgeous Italian actress Monica Bellucci as the face of Dolce&Gabbana Womenswear ad campaign SS 2012. Monica who  has long been both a supporter and muse for Dolce&Gabbana. From the earliest beginnings of the fashion house, Monica has played an integral part in the communication of the brand, and in the life of the designers themselves.

Their project was presented today with a video as a motion campaign,  "Italian Family". Besides Monica Bellucci we can see the lovely model Bianca Balti. This SS12 interesting narration of advertisement campaign was captured by Giampaolo Sgura in Southern Italy.

If this is Stefano and  Domenico attempting to make the rest f us wish we were Italian, then i'll have to admit.....IT WORKED!

“I’m delighted to be collaborating with Domenico and Stefano. I’ve always adored the aesthetic of Dolce & Gabbana and it’s so exciting to be involved with their creative process,” -Monica Bellucci.

“She expresses perfectly the Dolce & Gabbana woman. She is ravishing – a true Italian icon,”-Stefano Gabbana

We love Monica and have worked with nearly 20 years. Her beauty is timeless. She expressed Dolce & Gabbana as a picture of the perfect woman.”-Domenico Dolce

Monica has also lent her beautiful, perfectly full lips to Dolce&Gabbana, by posing as the face of their latest lipstick collection aptly named Monica. The limited edition collection will be available in stores worldwide in May 2012.

Versus Autumn/Winter 2012

Check out Versus A/W '12 collection that previewed in Milan Fashion Week. With a palette of fuchsia, burgundy, acid green, peacock blue and repeating geometric prints. Christopher Kane (who is rumored to be the replacement for John Galliano at Dior!!) showed off an overall street-wise collection, including romantic looks: empire-waisted mini-dresses or off-the-shoulder V-necks in tie-dye fabrics. Mini-dresses dominated the collection, especially the more feminine ones that were paired with thigh-high boots, either in all black or matching geometric prints.
